Yellow Decks

Of course most starship decks are actually black, or metallic in colour. No one has actually asked 'Why yellow decks?' but in case people wonder, here's the explanation. I picked yellow for two main reasons.

A: Firstly I wanted to make it distinct from the white back ground to make the decks seem more solid and thereby much more clear.

B: Yellow itself is a very unobtrusive colour. Every single other shade I tried seemed to dominate the image too much or be pale enough that the overall shape of the ship disappeared.

Of course I do have to mention that for new plans, and older refurbished plans, my decks are now done in a beige. This is mainly due to the fact that I usually have the exterior plan view looking down through the cockpit, and the beige looks more realistic than yellow would.
