This is a newer version. The design is based on the resin kit version because that's a lot better looking than the CGI model used in the games themselves.

This type of ship is used as both an assault ship, and as a shuttle when needed.

In assault mode the ship has a pair of large burning docks, capable of cutting through a hull and opening directly into the interior. To account for the occasional unsual dock the interior of the main bay's gravity can be reversed. In addition either side of the main portal are a pair of repulsor flip generators, which can assist a trooper in leaping 'down' into the hatch, getting turned round, and landing the other way up inside the target ship. This is a very tricky move to accomplish, and is used only when absolutely neccesary. These panels can also ease the impact of dropping into ships under normal gravity.
